South Maclean residents are welcoming a brand new mega park to Orchard Property Group’s thriving family-friendly ‘Pebble Creek’ estate.
The unveiling of the multimillion-dollar parkland which spans 15 hectares, is set to occur on Saturday February 4th, 2023.
With Stage 1 and Stage 2 now complete and Stage 3 in the works, the park features exceptional connectivity and play opportunities for families with urban designed equipment including a 10-metre tall play tower and 33-metre long flying fox.
Other features include a multipurpose basketball court with an impressive mural design, ping pong table, large oval, picnic areas, off-leash dog park, and adventure bike trail.
Children also have the ability to ‘learn to ride’ on two levels of bike tracks specifically designed for young riders called ‘Ripples and Puddles’.
Logan City Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Division 11 Natalie Willcocks, said the park will be a major drawcard for Pebble Creek residents and neighbouring locals alike.
“I’m excited to be here today to witness another milestone event for the residents of Pebble Creek Estate, said Logan City Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Division 11 Natalie Willcocks.
“This new park environment is beautifully presented and offers a fantastic outdoor experience for not only residents of Pebble Creek but for anyone who chooses to visit this part of Logan.
“The natural setting of the dog park, the mature trees near the playground, the little cycle pathways, offer a distinct feeling of being at home. I hope you all enjoy the day and the new additions to Pebble Creek Park.”
The park runs adjacent to Flagstone Creek which the old farming structures, dam, and built-up silt are being transformed. Its bank will be rehabilitated through the incorporation of 2,000 new plants – this work costing an additional $1.4 million.
Stage 3 of the Pebble Creek parklands is currently underway and is expected to be completed by April 2023, featuring three defined fitness nodes and additional cycleways along the linear park.
CEO of Orchard Property Group, Ted Cronin, said there is a lot to look forward to with the park, and once complete, it will be there for everyone to enjoy.
“The park is suitable for all abilities,” said CEO of Orchard Property Group, Ted Cronin.
“We’re confident the apparatuses will appeal to children as they vary a fair bit in terms of skillset so there’s room for progression which is always fun.
“Our residents are enjoying some of the facilities already, so much so that there is a group that hosts a community ping pong tournament every Friday night which has brought the community together.”
“Boredom is very unlikely when you have so many options to explore.”
The park also caters to adults and their furry friends by providing sheltered areas for barbequing, sandstone terrace seating around the oval, and a dog park by the name of Pebble Paws with two defined areas: one for small breeds and the other for large.
